SIMTICS Ltd. (formerly Go Virtual Medical Ltd) was formed in 2003 by a group of surgeons, physicians and animators. The company has developed an Integrated Cognitive Simulator for learning surgical and clinical procedures in virtual reality. It features text, anatomy, video, and simulation in one package - synchronized by a dynamic timeline.

International market reaction to the prototype has been very favourable and the company has had considerable support from the New Zealand Government, the University of Auckland, the Auckland District Health Board, the Australasian College of Surgeons, and the IceAngel group of seed capital investors.

SIMTICS Ltd. has spent the last three years creating the Integrated Cognitive Simulator and is now poised for commercialisation and international growth.
