Including both Learn and Test modes, the online simulator offers three clinical scenarios, including normal and pathological cases, that tests your ability to perform an ultrasound assessment of the gastrointestinal tract. Practice the steps of the procedure online as often as you want, until you feel confident.
If you are not a medical student or physician, you may prefer the other version of this module, which includes all the procedural information needed by professionals in other roles: /shop/imaging/sonography/abdominal/ultrasound-assessment-of-the-gastrointestinal-(gi)-tract/

You'll Learn

  • to practice, perfect and test your skills in performing an ultrasound scan of the GI tract
  • how to obtain images of the gastrointestinal tract
  • to better visualize and understand the gastrointestinal tract anatomy, with our interactive 3D model, as well as the cross-sectional anatomy of the stomach and colon
  • how to differentiate normal and abnormal sonographic appearances of the GI tract
  • pathology of the stomach, small intestine and colon
  • much more (see “content details” for more specific information)
